Contracting segment provides construction and contracting services to power
generation, power grid, and other infrastructure projects.
The (iii) Equipment
Manufacturing segment designs, manufactures, and sells auxiliary equipment for
power plants, power grid equipment, steel structures, and energy conservation
and environmental protection equipment.
The (iv) Civil Explosives and
Cement Production segment manufactures and sells civil explosives and cement;
and offers blasting services.
The (v) Investment and Other
Businesses Segment invests in, operates, and sells power plants; and other
infrastructure projects, such as railways and highways, environmental
protection projects, and water conservancy projects, as well as engages in real
estate development and other businesses.

for the Year Ended December 31, 2016

China Energy Engineering Corporation
Limited announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended
December 31, 2016. For the year, revenue was RMB 222,171.025 million against
RMB 205,692.949 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was RMB 9,647.073
million against profit of RMB 8,585.899 million a year ago. Profit for the year
attributable to owners of the company was RMB 4,281.292 million or RMB 0.14 per
basic and diluted loss per share against profit of RMB 4,235.671 million or RMB
0.19 per basic and diluted earnings per share a year ago. Net cash generated
from operating activities was RMB 4,668.0 million against cash used in
operating activities of RMB 3,834.2 million a year ago. The increase was
primary due to the following reasons: (i) the increase in cash inflow from the
net profit of operating activities amounting to RMB 14,781 million during the
period; and (ii) the commencement of asset securitization of receivables and
accelerated settlement for engineering projects with clients, whereas timely
extending the settlement interval of payment to suppliers, synthetically
increasing cash inflow amounting to RMB 7,737 million. These increases were
partially offset by the increase in prepayments, deposits and other receivables
of RMB 5,576 million and increase in amounts due from customers for
construction contracts of RMB 6,611 million triggered by increase in business
volume, and payment of income tax of RMB 2,330 million. Payment for the
purchase of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets was RMB 6,915
million.

The board of China Energy Engineering
Corporation Limited recommended the payment of a final dividend of 2.96 RMB
cents per share (tax inclusive) for the year ended December 31, 2016, with a
total amount of approximately RMB 888 million, subject to the approval of
shareholders at the annual general meeting held on June 8, 2017. If approved,
the dividend is expected to be paid on August 7, 2017 to shareholders whose
names appear on the register of members of the company on June 29, 2017.
